I know, I know, it seems like another two years of Republican leadership and Bush in the White House will be like eating glass when there is steak available.

I know if the Democrats win they will inherit the Iraq quagmire, the problem in which there seems no true solution, no clear way to victory. In turn the Democrats will inherit the blame for the Iraq bloodbath and have to somehow undo years of poor planning and strategy.

Republicans have spent the last five years convincing the citizenry of the United States that having Democrats in power equals insecurity in the homeland when in fact 9-11 actually happened on the Bush Administrations Republican red watch, even after they had been warned of Osama bin Laden and his suspected intent.

I have seen such disdainful and disheartening tactics coming from the far right wing that I would not be surprised if these folks made damn sure that having a Democrat in power equals insecurity, no matter what the costs may be to America and to the world - and all in the name of partisan politics and executive power.

I believe America needs another two years of poor leadership in order to recognize just leadership when they see it. I think America needs another two years of being deceived by and mislead by the extremist who are lurking within the Republican party to realize that our country is headed down the wrong path and a change in policy is desperately needed.

And that's why I want the Democrats to lose in 2006.
